What we do
We provide essential care packs — Hope Bags — to people arriving on psychiatric wards, then keep supporting them through monthly pop-up shops.
Our work
Restoring dignity from the moment someone arrives on a ward.
Admissions can be sudden and distressing, and many people arrive with little or nothing. Every Hope Bag is a tangible reminder of care and human worth — and our support doesn't stop on day one.
The bags
What goes into a Hope Bag?
We provide gender-neutral Hope Bags so we can prepare and distribute them efficiently to those who need them most. Each bag is thoughtfully packed with a consistent set of essential items, chosen to ensure every patient arrives with dignity and access to basic self-care.

Some patients need additional items. Rather than including these in every bag, we supply wards with boxes of sanitary products so staff can discreetly add them where needed or when requested.
Beyond the first day
Support that continues after admission
Needs don't stop after arrival. We come back — so people keep getting choice, comfort and connection throughout their stay.
Our monthly pop-up shop
Choice, independence and a moment of everyday life
Once a month we return to the ward to host a completely free pop-up shop. For people who can't leave the ward, it offers a rare chance to browse, choose items and make personal decisions — a small moment that helps someone feel more in control and briefly step outside the clinical environment.

Additional support
Staying connected
To help patients stay connected with loved ones, we provide phone chargers — up to four per ward. Some wards have restrictions around phone use, so chargers are made available where appropriate and needed.
Our impact
The difference, in people's own words.
We're a small organisation, so we measure our impact the most honest way we can — through the people we reach and the wards we work with.
Having something that was just mine, that someone had thought about, made me feel like a person again on a really frightening day.
The Hope Bags make such a difference at admission. Patients arrive with nothing, and being able to hand them something kind changes the whole first conversation.
It sounds small, but having my own toothbrush and something soft to wear meant I didn't have to ask for everything. That bit of independence mattered more than I can say.
£13 puts a Hope Bag in someone's hands.
Your gift becomes real items, real comfort, on someone's hardest day.
